Sun Nudge Accessibility

Sun Nudge is meant to stay readable in bright Texas light and usable with system accessibility settings on iPhone and Apple Watch.

This page is for the iOS and watchOS app Sun Nudge. Common tasks include onboarding, checking today's daylight, changing your goal, and opening Settings.

What we support

Dark Interface. Appearance can follow the system, stay light, stay dark, or match daylight. The Watch app uses a dark sky by default.

Reduced Motion. With Reduce Motion on, we skip extra pulses, springs, and glow on the ring, charts, and UV screens.

Differentiate Without Color Alone. Minutes, UV, and protection use numbers, words, and icons — not color by itself.

VoiceOver. Primary controls have labels and hints (today's ring, Settings, UV, goal). Standard lists and buttons work with VoiceOver. Turn VoiceOver on and swipe through Today, then double-tap the ring to change your goal.

Voice Control (iPhone). Named buttons can be spoken, for example “Tap Settings” or “Tap Daily Goal.”

System settings that help

  • iPhone: Settings → Accessibility → Display & Text Size (Dark, Reduce Motion, Bold Text, Increase Contrast)
  • iPhone: Settings → Accessibility → VoiceOver or Voice Control
  • Apple Watch: Settings → Accessibility (VoiceOver, Reduce Motion, On-Wrist detections)

Still improving

Dynamic Type and default contrast on the sunny dashboard are getting better. If type feels small or a control is hard to see, email us — that feedback ships into the next polish.
